- The first frame is the empty harbour square at dawn and the last frame is the same square on market day at noon. Over ten seconds the light warms and the shadows shorten, stallholders wheel in market stalls with striped awnings and set them up along both sides of the square, crates of fruit, flowers and bread are unloaded, and shoppers drift in until the square is busy, gulls lifting off the cobbles.
