What is the Ideogram model?
The reason to reach for Ideogram comfyui workflows is text. Ideogram is an image-generation model from a team of former Google Brain researchers, and its defining strength is rendering legible, correctly spelled words inside an image, the part most generators still get wrong. Ideogram 4.0, released June 2026, is the first open-weight build: a roughly 9.3B text-to-image model with native 2K output, an NF4 checkpoint that fits a single 24GB GPU like an RTX 4090, and an FP8 build for broader hardware. The catch is the license, the Ideogram Non-Commercial Model Agreement, so a local 4.0 download is for personal and research use, while paid commercial rights come with the API.
To run one, open an Ideogram workflow on Comfy Cloud with nothing to install, or download the 4.0 weights and run the graph on your own GPU. Write a prompt with your text in quotes, choose the aspect ratio, and generate. If the lettering or layout is not quite right, revise the prompt and re-run until the words sit cleanly in the composition, then carry the result into the rest of your ComfyUI workflow.
